A Week of Wholesome Riches Welcoming Camden Teachers and Students to a New School Year

It was an amazing back-to-school week as we had the chance to attend several 2026 Welcome Back events with the Camden City School District, as well as host a special prayer breakfast and teacher appreciation luncheon.

Things kicked off on Tuesday, September 1st at Camden High School with the Camden City School District’s Camden 2026 Welcome Back Convocation. Michele and Pastor Jahill Richards got to interact with students, parents and staff at a table in the school lobby where we shared our vision, caught up with old friends and made new ones.

Then on Wednesday morning we were back at the high school with our dedicated team of volunteers to host our annual Prayer Breakfast. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors Fellowship Bible Church and 3 Circle Church, we were able to provide more than 50 teachers, administrators and support staff with a delicious, hot buffet breakfast. (Watch the video below!)

The Prayer Breakfast was highlighted by a rich time of prayer lead by Pastor Jahill, Bishop Alexander Bright, Pastor Elizabeth Bright, Pastor Jermaine Heath and veteran school teacher Natalie Knox. You couldn’t help but feel the power of the moment as we prayed over the teachers and asked God to strengthen them in leading our children. Capping off the morning was a performance of the song “Imagine Me” by students and Miss Farmer from the Camden Creative Arts High School.

After breakfast at the high school, our team drove over to H.B. Wilson Family School to host a teacher appreciation luncheon thanks to another generous sponsor, ReWorld Waste. Members of their team, who also serve monthly at our Love Your Neighbor Food Distributions at Wilson, put out the yummy spread with deli sandwiches, soda and snacks.

Pastor Jahill had another opportunity to pray over teachers and support staff for God’s protection and blessing this school year.

Then came the big day with students back-to-school on Thursday, September 4th.

More of our dedicated volunteers held signs, offered shouts of encouragement and gave high fives to students as they attended their first morning of school at H.B. Wilson.

It is our prayer that God will give Camden City Schools as well as our local charter schools the best school year ever as we try to show educators and students support in whatever ways we can.

We are so thankful to Fellowship Bible, 3 Circle Church and ReWorld Waste for making these events possible and showing their support for our schools!
