“Our mission is to support and strengthen families and students, to give them a place to serve and to empower them to their next level in life.”

Those words from our founder Michele Pilla began reporter Nick Iadonisi’s story on 6 ABC WPVI-TV on Wednesday, February 11 after attending our Love Your Neighbor free food distribution at Cooper’s Poynt Family School.
The word EMPOWER is a great way to summarize the heart of our efforts.
We give away food and encourage people to EMPOWER them to take care of themselves and meet their families’ physical needs.
We recruit and train volunteers to EMPOWER them to make a difference in their community.
We involve students in our distributions to EMPOWER them to become leaders, problem solvers and develop character that will help them lead productive lives.
We want to EMPOWER young people who need second chances through our new Pathway to Purpose program with justice-impacted youth.
“Camden has stars,” Jahill Richards, our director for Pathway to Purpose explained, “sometimes they are hidden, but they are all over the place.”
Eve Burdett gave a great testimony in the news story about how serving at Wholesome Riches gave her purpose and direction at a time when she needed it. “I know it’s helping me make a change,” said Eve.
Glory to God!
If you have a moment, please watch Nick’s story and if you feel inspired to deepen your commitment to our mission of EMPOWERING students and families in Camden, we invite you to pray, volunteer and give.
